(Q3.)What are the conditions to register on TRACES as Deductor? - Conditions to register on TRACES are as follows:
- Before doing Registration on TRACES, Deductor must ensure that he had already filed a Statement with TDS/TCS amount, and it should be processed by TRACES.
- Statement filed by Deductor should be non-NIL statement.
(Q4.)How to register as a Deductor on TRACES?
- Steps to be followed for registering as a Deductor on TRACES:
1. Click on 'Register as New User' in TRACES home page
2. Select 'Type of User' as "Deductor".
3. Enter details from Step-1 to Step-4 and proceed.
4. Confirm details in confirmation screen.
5. On successful registration, activation link will be sent to registered email id and separate activation codes will be sent to registered email id and mobile number.
6. Click on activation link and enter User Id and activation codes.
7. After activation, user can login to TRACES.
(Q5.)In case the TRACES account is disabled, what should I do to resolve the error?
- Deductor should wait for 48 hours and after that again use forgot user ID option to reset user ID then activate the account to login.
Note: Deductor can reset password through Forgot user ID option.
