- (Q1.)Why do I see a pop up on the screen every time whenever I login on TRACES,where it shows a message "PAN Errors have been identified in TDS/TCS statements and it asks for some declaration"?
- If regular statement has been filed with PAN Errors and no correction has been filed then following declaration dialogue box will appear:
- I hereby declare that I will take necessary measures to rectify the PAN Errors.
- I am aware of the PAN errors and necessary action has been taken
- If regular statement has been filed with defaults and no correction has been filed then following declaration dialogue box will appear:
- I hereby declare that I will view the defaults in my statement and if required, identify the challans to be tagged to resolve the defaults.
- User has to put a check mark and click on I accept to proceed further.
Confirmation message will appear on the screen if Deductor puts a check mark in the respective box "Your declaration has been submitted successfully on TRACES"on the same screen after first pop-up and click on OK to proceed further. - Assessing Officer can issue a separate intimation in case deductor fails to give declaration.
- Yes, User can click on "Request for Default Resolution" under Default Tab to get the details of the default generated in regular statement.
- Four Responses are available for Deductor to respond to the Intimation raised by the Assessing Officer mentioned below
1. Deductee Not Traceable
2. I will file Correction Statement
3. Tax Deducted u/s 206AA
4. I already filed Correction statement - Five Responses are available for Deductor to respond to the Intimation raised by the Assessing Officer mentioned below:
1. I will file appeal.
2. I already filed Correction Statement.
3. I will file Correction Statement.
4. I already filed appeal.
5. I will deposit a new challan for payment of defaults - Procedure to Download Intimation from AO( Related to PAN Error/ Other Demand Raised ) are as under:-
PAN Errors have been identified in TDS/TCS statements.
Interest /Fees Defaults have also been identified in TDS/TCS statements.
Step 1: Click on "Notices from Assessing Officer" under "Communication Tab"
Step 2: User can click on "Request for Download Intimation" in order to download the Intimation.
Step 3: Request Number will be generated and Intimation will be available in "Requested Downloads" under "Downloads" Tab.
