(Q1.)How to reset User ID of TRACES as I forgot user ID?
- User Id can be recovered by using Forgot User Id process. Follow the steps as given below:
1. Click on 'Forgot User Id' link in TRACES login page.
2. Select 'Type of User' as Deductor.
3. Enter details in Step-1 and Step-2 of the form.
4. In Step-3, registered mobile number of the Deductor as in TRACES profile will be displayed. User can edit the mobile number on the screen. On clicking 'Proceed', One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the mobile number.
5. Enter OTP and submit.
6. If OTP is validated, existing User Id and registered email id of the user will be displayed. User can edit these details, if required.
7. New password must also be entered.
8. On submission, activation link and codes will be sent to the registered email id and mobile number.
9. You can login to TRACES after activating your account.
(Q2.)How to reset Password of TRACES account as I forgot password? - Password for TRACES website can be reset by using Forgot Password option.

- Account gets locked after five continuous unsuccessful efforts. Deductor needs to wait for 1 hour for the account to be unlocked automatically.
(Q5.)Is it possible to change password after login at TRACES account? - Password can be changed by accessing 'Profile' after logging in as a Deductor on TRACES website:
Following are the steps to change your login password: - Login on "TRACES" website using existing User Id and Password.
- Click on 'Profile' tab in top menu bar.
- Click on 'Change Password' option.
- After fill KYC details by user an OTP will be sent on registered mobile no. that need to enter to proceed further.
- Enter old password, new password, confirm new password and save.
- Email notification will be sent to registered Email Id intimating change in password.
