- The Consolidated file is available on TRACES from Financial Year 2007-08 onwards.
(Q3.)What is the purpose of Consolidated File?
- While filing correction for a particular TAN/Financial Year/Quarter/Form Type, Consolidated File Provides details about the all the previous original/corrections data made in the relevant statement. This Consolidated File can be uploaded in the RPU to enable correction. This file gets updated each time a correction is filed for a particular TAN/ Financial Year/Quarter/Form Type. Whenever a correction is to be filed for a given combination, a fresh Consolidated File is required.
(Q4.)How can I download Consolidated file?
- Procedure to download consolidated file:
Step 1: Go to TRACES website (www.tdscpc.gov.in). Login as a Deductor to TRACES website.
Step 2: Click on "Request for Conso File" option available under Statements/ Payments tab. Enter Financial Year, Form Type and Quarter for which the consolidated file is required.
Step 3: Submit KYC details for the relevant TDS Statement.
Step 4: On successful submission of the request, a unique Request number will be generated.
Step 5: The Consolidated File will be available in "Requested Download" under "Downloads" section, Deductor can search Conso file by using:
a) Request Number
b) Date
c) View All. (Q5.)What is the Password for opening Consolidated file?
- The password for opening Consolidated file is your TAN_Request Number (in capital letters). For example if your TAN is ABCD12345E and Request number is 6789, then the password for opening the Consolidated file would be ABCD12345E_6789.
