Deductors/Collectors will be able to register on TRACES. After successful registration on the website, user will be able to login into their account. This will enable them to create their own account profile and perform / view the activities under the respective TAN.
Only Registered Users of TRACES can use forgot password functionality. It will help the Deductor/Collector to reset the login password.
Only registered users of TRACES can use change password functionality. It will help the Deductor/Collector to change the login password.
Only registered users of TRACES can use this functionality to register DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) with TRACES.
Only registered users of TRACES can use this functionality to update communication details with TRACES.
Original & Correction filing of TDS/TCS statements electronically available at E-Filing website through upload functionality.
After a statement has been filed, deductor/collector can view status of statements, if a statement has been processed with/without defaults. User can download intimation sent by TDS CPC for the statements having defaults.
Registered deductor on TRACES can download intimation sent by TDS CPC for the statements having defaults. Deductor can check the intimation in "Inbox" option of "Communication" tab. After clicking on "Inbox Tab", user need to check "Action Required" for download intimation.
Deductor/Collector can download TDS/TCS certificates after processing of TDS/TCS statement and provide it to taxpayers about TDS/TCS deductions/collections and those deductions/collections also reflect in Form 26AS/Annual Tax Statement of taxpayers for claiming deductions/collections in Income Tax Return.
Transaction based report provides with a summary of transactions in respect of Non Resident of India Deductees who's PAN could not be reported in TDS/TCS Statement due to non-availability of PAN. Request for Downloading TBR can only be submitted when statement Status is either "Processed with Default" or "Processed without Default".
Justification report and default summary provides a consolidated report of defaults for a statement. Once a return has been processed with defaults, a Justification Report and default summary are prepared for the deductor/collector to view the default justifications. This assists the deductor/collector in filing of the correction statement for rectification of the identified defaults.
Aggregated TDS/TCS Compliance Report helps taxpayer for knowing defaults against multiple TANs associated with PAN of Deductor/Collector.
Online Correction to add challan to statement, Add or delete Salary details-Annexure II, challan correction, PAN correction, personal information, Pay LP, LD & late filing, tag replace challan, add modify deductee details, movement of deductee row, edit deductee row in case of unmatched challan, PAN correction Annexure III, add/delete pension/interest income of specified senior citizen-Annexure III are available on TRACES for deductors/collector for fast submission and processing of the statements. User can track online correction using functionality ‘Track correction Request’.
Deductor can download consolidate file from TRACES and can use it for offline corrections.
A cost effective, secured, and authentic access to TRACES portal by the banks/corporates having multiple branches for ease of use for TRACES by relaxed KYC to eliminate risk of unauthorized access.
Deductors/Collectors will be able to submit their refund requests through TRACES. A refund request can be submitted for a maximum of five challans. Deductor can track status of refund requests using 'Track Refund Request'.
Deductor can check Challan status in case Challan is Unclaimed or Claimed. Deductor can check Challan status using BIN details or CIN details.
Deductor can view the consumption details of the challan through challan query against Form Type of 24Q, 26Q, 27Q and 27EQ.
Deductor can view deduction details of deductee specific to PAN, financial year, form type and quarter using this functionality.
Deductor can verify PAN of deductee before furnishing the same in TDS/TCS statements.
Deductor can validate nil/lower deduction certificate u/s 197/195(3)195(2) those are received from a deductee.
If a Deductor is not required to file statement for a particular period, then Intimation or Show Cause notice from the Department can be avoided by giving non-filing declaration.
Due to various reasons, there could be a reduction in TDS deduction in the current period as compared to the deduction made in the previous period. In that case Centralized Processing Cell (TDS) has enabled deductor to share relevant reasons for Lower Deduction and/or Lower Payment.
OLTAS Challan Correction is the functionality provided by TDSCPC to the deductor for correction of the Unclaimed and Matched Challans.User can Select any correction type mentioned below: - Financial Year - Minor Head Code (200 and 400) - Major Head Code (20/21) - Section Code.User can track OLTAS challan correction request using functionality 'Track OLTAS challan correction request'.
Note: - For correction/changes in Section Code – 195 deductor needs to contact Jurisidictional Assessing Officer
As per Notification No. 11/2016 and Notification No. 12/2016 a procedure for the purpose of furnishing and verification of Form 26A/27BA for removing of default of Short Deduction/Collection and/or Non Deduction/ Collection of Tax at Source is now introduced on the TRACES website .In case if any Deductor/collector has received "Short Deduction" demand notice , where the assessee has furnished his return of income under section 139 and has paid self-assessment tax / advance tax on his income. User can track 26A/27BA request using functionality 'Track request for 26A/27BA'.

Only registered Deductor can avail the facility of "Request for Resolution" under "Online grievances module". Request for Resolution can be raised from FY 2007-08 onwards. Deductor can upload the relevant documents along with the query.
Deductor may give declarations for paperless intimation using this functionality if user wish to opt out for paper intimations.
Deductor can view intimation issued by Assessing Officer in "Notices/Communications from Assessing Officer" section available under "Communications" tab.
Form-15E application can be submitted through TRACES website for Current Financial Year only.
Registered deductor at TRACES can download 197, 206C (9), 195(2) Certificate.
