2015 has been a great year, as we observed significant improvement in overall TDS administration. The achievements were reflected in various awards including the Prime Minister' s Award for Excellence in Public Administration for Easy Tax Compliance through Quality Service coming our way.
We feel very pleased to acknowledge that your active support has been a catalyst in driving TDS compliance during the year 2015 and the improvements are reflected in the following results achieved:
- Timely Payment of TDS has improved to over 84%.
- Timely Filing of TDS Statements has improved to over 90%.
- Less than 21%of Original Statements were identified with TDS Defaults during the Year 2015.
- Invalid PAN Errors have reduced to 1.69% of total Deductees reported in TDS Statements.
- There is significant reduction in "Outstanding TDS Defaults" by over 55% for all Financial Years beginning 2007-08.
